Attention Rowlett Citizens: I wanted to provide another update on our progress recovering from the tornado. First, I wanted to thank our amazing Staff, outside agencies, CERT, VIPS, Church groups, Citizens and Businesses. We have made great progress in the past 96 hours! The Tide Mobile Laundry Truck will be at First Christian Church located at 7301 Miller Road (corner of Chiesa and Miller Road). Operation begins after 10 AM this morning. This is to assist residents impacted by the tornado.

A little over 48 hours ago Rowlett received a direct hit from an EF-4 tornado. The tornado ripped a path approximately ½ mile wide and about 4 miles in length. The strength and path of the tornado caused widespread damage.
Our first responders and CERT teams were out in neighborhoods…
